Big Blue Empire State Building
The New York Giants won their 4th Super Bowl on February 5, 2012 by defeating the New England Patriots 21-17. Their previous Super Bowl came in 2007 where they also beat the Patriots.
The Empire State Building lighting is in preparation for the following day’s New York Giants celebratory parade in downtown Manhattan, on the famed canyon of heroes. “The New York Daily News” reports fans may number between 500,000 and 1 million making the trip to welcome the team home and catch a glimpes of the champions.
Columbidae
Pigeons constitute half of the bird family Columbidae, the other half being doves. Pigeons can be found all over the world, and in New York City, are considered “flying rats.” The pigeon population is regarded as toxic to local New Yorkers, whereas, other populations consider them cuisine; aka squab.
Art Deco Landmark
The Empire State Building not only stands as New York City’s tallest building, but it is also credited as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, also, named the building and the ground level interior asNew York City landmarks.
Walking in New York
A mid-afternoon stroll up Broadway, approaching Madison Square Park, the Empire State Building appeared even more prominent as the sun shone brightly on the New York City landmark.
