In flight since 1996, Cebu Pacific was launched as the Philippines’ low fare carrier. Originally operating exclusively as a domestic carrier, in 2001, the airline added international routes.

According to the Cebu Pacific website, such international destinations include: Bangkok, Busan, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei. Chairman Emeritus John L. Gokongwei, Jr. said in his book, “The Path of Entrepreneurship,” he dreams of having Cebu Pacific reach destinations in Europe and the Americas some day.

With the youngest fleet in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific currently operates with 30 Airbus and eight ATR aircraft.

Cebu Pacific is a subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings, the same company that runs Robinson’s Department Stores and Sun Cellular.
