When you just don't know what to do with that stuff

St. Roch Catholic Parish

Driving into the city of Manapla, in the province of Negros Occidental, the main road leads to a street that provides an impromptu mini-tour of the city’s main downtown area. Along that drive, an eye-catching structure appears on the right hand-side.

The St. Roch Catholic Parish, gleaming white under the sun, has architecture that resembles Australia’s Sydney Opera House. The church sits directly across the street from the main town square, which makes it easily accessible for local residents.

Manapla is classified as a 3rd Class Municipality and is well-known for locally produced puto, a local rice treat.
