Erected to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the State of Queensland, the Wheel of Brisbane stands on the South Bank Parklands, along the Brisbane River, and gives guests a complete view of the city from 197 feet in the air.

As described on their website:

“Our giant observation wheel offers a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of Brisbane City from the heart of Brisbane’s cultural, lifestyle and entertainment precinct, The Parklands, South Bank.”

The Wheel was first installed as part of World Expo 88.
